- 1 and 1/2 Cups of Sugar
- 1 cup of Salted Butter (soft)
- 2 eggs
- 2 Teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup of Nutella
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Cream together soften butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Beat in eggs and vanilla until well incorporated
- Mix flour and baking powder in small bowl, then stir it into butter mixture.
- Once incorporated separate dough into two balls. Wrap in plastic wrap. Chill in refrigerator for a minimum of an hour. (I like to keep it in overnight)
- Once dough is chilled, roll out into 1/4 inch thickness (or desired thickness) and cut out shapes using cookie cutters, cups, knives or whatever you have available. I like moustaches.
- Cut out two identical shapes. Pipe the centre of your bottom shape with Nutella staying away from the edges.
- Place the top shape on top of the bottom, sandwiching the Nutella in between.
- Pinch sides of cookies so Nutella won't escape.
- Place on parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown.
- Let cool, and enjoy this new take on a classic sugar cookie.
